Zee TV wears the Hindi GEC crown in two markets

MUMBAI: Hindi GEC Zee TV has grabbed the top position in urban + rural HSM on the back of SaReGaMaPa Li’l Champs’ grand finale which garnered 12.1 million impressions as well as strong performance by tentpole fiction shows Kumkum Bhagya and Kundali Bhagya, as per BARC India data for week 44.

The channel registered a growth of 13.7% to clock 74.10 crore impressions in U+R HSM. Star Bharat maintained its second position with a 6.06% growth in impressions. Zee Anmol has dropped to the third position with 67.67 crore weekly impressions.

Star Plus moved up to the sixth position with 51.78 crore weekly impressions, followed by Sony Entertainment Television (SET) and SAB TV.

Rishtey dropped to the tenth spot with 37 crore weekly impressions while Star Utsav climbed to the ninth with 37.34 crore weekly impression. Other positions remained unchanged.

Top 5 shows in U+R HSM

Zee TV ruled the list with three out of five programmes while India vs New Zealand matches on DD National made up for the rest.

Top channels in Urban HSM

In Urban HSM, Zee TV surpassed Colors to take the lead with 44.39 crore weekly impressions for the week ended on 3 November. Colors slipped to the second spot with 41.08 crore weekly impressions.

Star Plus moved to the third position with 35.61 crore weekly impressions while SET dropped to fourth with 33.41 crore weekly impressions. Star Bharat climbed to the fifth spot while SAB TV dropped to the sixth position. The rest of the chart remained unchanged.

Top 5 shows in Urban HSM

Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya was the most watch show followed by Amul SaReGaMaPa Li’l Champs and Kumkum Bhagya on second and third spots respectively. Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai was in the fourth position followed by SET’s Jio KBC Play Along Special Week.

Top channels in Rural HSM

Zee TV and Star Utsav moved up by a rank to fourth and fifth positions respectively while Rishtey dropped to the sixth position. Dangal TV entered the top 10 list for the first time while Big Magic dropped from the list.

Top 5 shows in Rural HSM

The first T20 and the third ODI match between India-New Zealand were the top two programmes in the rural HSM. Sony Pal’s two show Baalveer and Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah were third and fourth positions respectively. Zee Anmol’s Ganga entered the list at number 5.
