Zee Maharashtra Kusti Dangal team owners, squads unveiled

MUMBAI: ZEEL-owned Marathi movie channel Zee Talkies has unveiled the team owners and players for the second edition of Zee Maharashtra Kusti Dangal. The matches will be telecast on Zee Talkies from 2-18 November.

The team owners include Swwapnil Joshi (Vidharbhachi Wagh), Sai Tamhankar (Kolhapuri Maavle), Nagraj Manjule (Veer Marathwada), Purshottam Jadhav (Yashwant Satara), Rajesh Dake (Mumbai Astraa) and Shantaram Manve & Paritosh Painter (Puneri Ustaad).

The six teams consist of three celebrities and three dignitaries from different fields. The matches will be played at Balewadi Stadium in Pune.

Zee Talkies and Zee Yuva business head Bavesh Janavlekar says, “With Zee Maharashtra Kusti Dangal, we have all had a dream and a vision for this sport, which we have seen come true today. From November 2nd to 18th, wrestling will truly be experienced by Maharashtra, and its foundation has been set here today. The games that are popular here in India are usually those that have originated outside India. There are huge budgets cut out for these games. But wrestling is an true blue Indian sport, and it has reached an international level today. But this game still hasnt received its expected money and fame.
