MUMBAI: In line with its brand proposition Bayasid’dha Bāgilu Tegiyōṇa (Open door to possibilities), Zee Kannada has unveiled its latest fiction show ‘Paaru’.

The story narrates the struggles of a poor girl falling in love with the rich boy and overcoming the limitations in a home that thrives on strong class conflict. The show premiere on 3rd December at 9:30 pm.

The plot of the show explores a distinct blend of the powerful mindset and class-conflict between the two lead protagonists ‘Akhilandeshwari’, an enterprising woman with a strong sense of character, and ‘Paarvathi’ (Paaru), a simple village girl who lives life to the fullest.

Authoritarian Aarasanakote Akhilandeshwari lives in a palace with wealth inherited from her ancestors, where the world revolves as per her rules. Her elder son Arjun, the head of Aditya Group of Companies, is a business icon having expanded the assets of Akhilandeshwari. While Paaru, the subsequent lead, is born and brought up in the village where her she loves the freedom to live her life.

As the story unfolds, Paaru arrives in the city to live in Akhilandeshwari’s fort under her authority and both their characteristics will set to clash against each other’s strong resilient principles. Coming to terms with each other’s differing viewpoints of choosing between status or love forms the crux of the story.

Akhilandeshwari’s role is the predominant character in the serial, enacted by the multilingual star Vinaya Prasad. Kannadiga viewers are very inquisitive to watch her in this new role, along with Paaru’s huge star cast.

Zee Kannada business head Raghavendra Hunsur said, “Thrilled to add to our extensive prime-time segment while bringing alive our brand promise through Paaru. Synonymous with the Kannada pride, Zee Kannada will help women break the limits of their minds with progressive and onward-looking content of Paaru, featuring bold and determined women characters who go leaps and bounds to exceed their limits and achieve the extraordinary. Continuing to cater to the audiences’ unique entertainment needs, we are certain the new show will be a favorite.”
