Wired broadband subs increased 0.27% to 17.95 mn
MUMBAI: The total wired broadband subscribers has increased 0.27% to 17.95 million in July compared to 17.9 million in June, according to Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) telecom subscription data report for July.
As on 31st July 2018, the top five Wired Broadband Service providers were BSNL (9.15 million), Bharti Airtel (2.21 million), Atria Convergence Technologies (1.34 million), MTNL (0.83 million) and Hathway Cable & Datacom (0.75 million).
As per the reports received from 293 operators, the number of broadband subscribers increased from 447.12 million at the end of Jun-18 to 460.24 million at the end of Jul-18 with a monthly growth rate of 2.93%.
Top five service providers constituted 97.75% market share of the total broadband subscribers at the end of Jul-18. These service providers were Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd (227.05 million), Bharti Airtel (95.33 million), Vodafone (63.79 million), Idea Cellular (43.52 million) and BSNL (20.18 million).
The top five Wireless Broadband Service providers were Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd (227.05 million), Bharti Airtel (93.11 million), Vodafone (63.79 million), Idea Cellular (43.52 million) and BSNL (11.03 million).
