Vodafone Idea inks content partnership with SonyLIV

MUMBAI: Telecom operator Vodafone Idea has partnered with video on demand (VoD) service SonyLIV. Through this partnership, Vodafone Idea customers will be able to enjoy the SonyLIV content on Vodafone Play or Idea Movies & TV app and watch their favorite shows, movies and web series for no extra cost.

Vodafone Idea’s partnership with SonyLIV is a step towards bolstering the growth of the digital ecosystem in India. Affordable data prices and increasing user accessibility have resulted in significant growth in the online video viewing audience. Tying up with SonyLIV will capitalize on this huge potential by offering viewers with an array of premium content across genres.

The offering includes 1000+ movies along with recently announced 14 original shows, 100+ Short format shows, top-rated shows from Sony Entertainment Channel and Sab TV for the customers of Vodafone Idea. The users will be able to watch shows and movies like- ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, ’Vighnaharta Ganesh’, ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ ‘Baahubali 1 & 2’, ‘Piku’, ‘PK’, ‘Queen’, ‘Azhar’ and ‘3 Idiots’.

The offering further includes SonyLIV’s English content catalogue with shows like – ‘The Good Doctor’, ‘Counterpart’, ‘Damages’ and ‘Snatch’ among others. Adding onto the line-up is the Lionsgate Library with shows like ‘Power’, ‘White Queen’ and ‘Houdini’ to name a few.
