Universal Music India appoints Preeti Nayyar as new business development VP
MUMBAI: Universal Music India has appointed Preeti Nayyar as vice president, new business development, for India and South Asia.
Being a Harvard Business School Alumna along with a vast experience of almost two decades in media and entertainment, Nayyar is aiming to bring in her expertise to scale the business at Universal Music Group.

Preeti will be based out of Mumbai and will report directly to Universal Music India & South Asia SVP Vinit Thakkar.
Thakkar stated, ”We have been working closely with brand partners offering tactical and strategic solutions for the last couple of years. I am very excited to have Preeti as an addition to our senior leadership team heading the new business vertical. Her addition to our team will give us the focus and impetus to scale UMG&B business in India and South Asia.”
Prior to joining Universal Music Group, Nayyar has worked with several entertainment and media companies like Fox Star Studios, The Walt Disney Company, Reliance Broadcast, Radio Mirchi, India Today and Business Standard.
Nayyar said, “Having spent several years in media , managing various verticals, I am thrilled to be a part of Universal Music Group . UMG has been the mecca for anyone in the music industry and has consistently created new benchmarks and many firsts. My endeavour would be to co create compelling branded campaigns and IPs.”
