Twitter, Star Sports partner to engage users with #SelectDugout

MUMBAI: Twitter is giving fans a new and unique opportunity to engage directly with the Star Sports Select Dugout team throughout the summer. The tailormade experience will offer fans an opportunity to interact directly with an illustrious list of commentators and experts from the Star Sports Select simply by Tweeting @StarSportsIndia with the hashtag #SelectDugout, and the best will get a personalised video response from a Star Sports Select expert via Twitter.

Not only will fans get a chance to have their questions answered, they will also get unique perspective about the game from a wide group of experts representing multiple nationalities including Brett Lee, Scott Styris, Dean Jones, Anil Kumble, Damien Fleming, Darren Sammy, Graeme Smith, Kevin Pietersen and a host of other select experts.

Commenting on the engagement a Star India spokesperson said, “In line with our commitment to reimagine IPL 2018 and giving our fans a world-class offering, the #SelectDugout is our endeavour to enhance the core cricket fan’s viewing experience this season. Keeping our fans at the centre of everything we do, The Dugout will provide them with analysis, interesting data, expert opinion and in-depth content throughout the season. The illustrious list of commentators and experts are some of the most well-known and respected voices across the cricketing fraternity, and we think this engagement with Twitter will give our core fans the opportunity to interact with these experts”.

Commenting on this initiative, Twitter Head of Sports Partnerships, Asia Pacific Aneesh Madani said, “This brings fans and commentators closer than ever before with direct, authentic access. Only on Twitter can you have the unique opportunity of receiving a personal reply on video with your Tweet embedded in it for posterity. Star has set the bar for bridging broadcast and digital engagement for cricket, and we can’t wait to see how many fans they delight through this experience.”
