MUMBAI: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued notices to Punjab-based multi system operators (MSOs) Chetak Cable Network and Citi Cable Net for non-compliance of the provisions of the new regulatory framework.

On inspection of both the MSOs, the authority observed partial functionality of website, non-availability of the customer care center and a toll-free number and non-functionality of customer care programming service in violation of the provisions of the QoS Regulations, 2017.

Both the MSOs, who are based out of Bhatinda, have been asked to report compliance as per the new regulatory framework within five days from the date of issue of this direction.

The regulator noted that the quality of service regulation requires distribution platform operators (DPOs) to provide customer care centre, establishment of website and customer care programming service.
