Times Network issues clarification on association with Faye D’Souza
MUMBAI: Quelling speculation about Mirror Now executive editor Faye D’Souza’s exit, Times Network has issued a statement stating that the popular news anchor is very much with the network although she has moved away from managing the day to day operations of the channel.
The company also stated that Faye will now be responsible for creating and presenting flagship shows on Mirror Now in addition to steering new shows, IPs and ground events for the network.
Earlier, some news media outlets reported that Faye has resigned from her current position.
“Regarding ongoing speculation surrounding Faye D’Souza’s disengagement with Mirror Now, this is to clarify that Faye continues to be associated with Times Network and Mirror Now,” Times Network said in a statement.
“Having played a pivotal role in establishing a strong position for Mirror Now, Faye moves away from managing daily operations of the brand and will now be responsible for creating and presenting flagship shows on Mirror Now in addition to steering new shows, IPs and ground events for the Network.”
Faye has been credited with building Mirror Now as a credible English news channel in a short span of time. In a cluttered market, Mirror Now has created a niche for itself by raising issues of public importance through its reportage and prime-time shows.
