Sushilkumar Agrawal elected as IPRS director
MUMBAI: Ultra Media And Entertainment CEO Sushilkumar Agrawal has been elected as the director of The Indian Performing Right Society (IPRS). The IPRS is the sole authorized body to issue Licenses permitting usage of the original music by any person or establishment within India. It collects royalties from the users of this music and shares it with its Members i.e. the Author (lyricists), Composer (music directors), Owners (producers) of films and publishers (music companies).
Being in the content acquisition and distribution business, Ultra has tie-ups with all the leading Indian and International Copyright Societies including IPRS. Ultra has a huge library of films and non-films music rights across various languages and genres. Ultra also has its presence on all leading music services like Gaana.com, Jio Saavn, Wynk, iTunes, Amazon Music, Spotify, and many other international services. Ultra also has tie-ups with the leading network service providers like Vodafone Idea, Airtel, Jio etc for other value-added services.
Sushilkumar Agrawal is a first generation entrepreneur and the founder of Ultra Media & Entertainment Private Ltd in 1982. It works in the area of content acquisition from various production companies worldwide & distributing it on various platforms. It currently has a library of over 1500 titles comprising of Indian, international films, television serials, and other contents.
