Sun TV Network registers double-digit ad, subs rev growth in Q4
MUMBAI: Sun TV Network’s net profit for the quarter ended 31 March has jumped 23% to Rs. 289.76 crore as against Rs. 235.91 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
EBITDA for the quarter was up 33% at Rs. 522.40 crore as against Rs. 393.64 crore in the year ago period.
The revenue increased 23% at Rs. 716.95 crore as against Rs. 582.50 crore. Subscription revenue rose 28% at Rs. 308.84 crore compared to Rs. 241.90 crore. Ad revenue increased 26% to Rs 367.9 crore from Rs 292 crore.
For the full fiscal, the standalone net profit stood at Rs. 1,093.04 crore which is a 12% jumped over the Rs 979.4 crore in the previous fiscal.
EBITDA for the fiscal increased 13% at Rs. 1,959.48 crore compared to Rs. 1,736.97 crore.
Revenue was up 12 % at Rs. 2, 862.45 crore from Rs. 2,558.25 crore. Ad revenue increased 12% at Rs. 1,309.33 crore while subscription revenue was up 19% at Rs. 1,141.20 crore.
On a consolidated basis, the net profit was up by 10% at Rs. 1,135.41 crore as against Rs. 1,030.66 crore. EBITDA was up 13% at Rs. 2,003.76 crore as against Rs. 1,769.84 crore. Revenue was up by 12% at Rs. 2,963.02 crore as against Rs. 2,645.72 crore.
Sun TV Network operates satellite TV channels across four languages of Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, airs FM radio stations across India and owns the SunRisers Hyderabad Cricket Franchise of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
