Sun TV Network Q2 net jumps 23.4% driven by strong subs rev growth
MUMBAI: Sun TV Network’s net profit for the second quarter ended 30 September has jumped 23.41% to Rs 351.4 crore compared to Rs 284.67 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal aided by a strong subscription revenue growth.
EBITDA for the quarter was higher by 11.67% at Rs 553.97 crore as against Rs 496.09 crore.
The revenue was up by 10.90% at Rs 749.55 crore as against Rs 675.90 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. The subscription revenue for the quarter was up by 21.33% at Rs 339.79 crore as against Rs 280.05 crore.
The total income for the quarter was higher by 13.82% at Rs 811.67 crore as against Rs 713.13 crore. The total expenses declined to Rs 278 crore from Rs 282.56 crore.
The Sun TV Network board has declared an interim dividend of Rs 2.5 per share (50%) on a face value of Rs 5 per share.
Sun TV Network operates satellite television channels across four languages of Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, airs FM radio stations across India and owns the SunRisers Hyderabad franchise of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
