Sun TV Network Q3 consolidated net profit up 7.15% at Rs 384.69 cr

MUMBAI: Sun TV Network‘s consolidated net profit for the quarter ended 31st December has increased by 7.15% to Rs 384.69 crore from Rs 359.01 crore for the corresponding quarter ended 31st December 2018.

Income from operations fell 9.74% to Rs 847.8 crore compared to Rs 939.31 crore. Total expenses were down 8.48% to Rs 404.35 crore as against Rs 441.86 crore.

On a standalone basis, the net profit for the quarter has jumped 6% to Rs 373.45 crore as against Rs 351.33 crore. The Profit Before Taxes for the quarter was at Rs 498.46 crore as against Rs 542 crore.

The revenues (excluding income from movie distribution) was at Rs 799.29 crore as against Rs 795.95 crore. The subscription revenue for the quarter was up by 18% at Rs 411.85 crore as against Rs 349.60 crore.

At the Board Meeting held today, the Board of Directors have declared an interim dividend of Rs. 7.50 per share (150%) on a face value of Rs. 5 per share. The Earnings Per Share for the current quarter grew by 6% at Rs 9.48 as against Rs 8.92.

Sun TV Network is one of the largest television broadcasters in India. It operates satellite television channels across Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Bengali languages. It also operates FM radio stations across India and owns the SunRisers Hyderabad Cricket Franchise of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
