Star Utsav to switch to MPEG4 DVB-S2 signal format from 15 Nov
MUMBAI: Star India’s free to air (FTA) Hindi GEC Star Utsav will be changing its broadcast signal format from MPEG2 DVB-S to MPEG4 DVB-S2 from 15 November.
The broadcaster has asked the cable operators to ensure that their decoders for Star Utsav are MPEG4 DVB-S2 complaint to enjoy uninterrupted reception of the channel.
The statement read, “The signal format of this channel Star Utsav will change from MPEG2, DVB-S to MPEG4 DVB-S2. You are requested to ensure that your decoder for Star Utsav is MPEG4 DVB-S2 compatible by 15 November 2018 to have uninterrupted reception of the channel. There will be no change in satellite/downlink frequency/ polarity.”
Star Utsav airs the re-run of original shows from Star Plus and Star Bharat.
