Star Plus, Sony TV gain big in week 35
MUMBAI: Hindi GEC Star Plus’ viewership has been on an upswing. After becoming the number 1 channel in urban HSM, the channel has grabbed the second position in the urban+rural HSM, as per BARC India data for week 35. Star Utsav, which was at the second position, has dropped to the fourth spot.
Sony Pal moved to the fifth position followed by Zee TV and Colors on the sixth and seventh rank, respectively. Rishtey maintained its eighth position whereas Sony Entertainment Television (SET) entered the table at the ninth spot. The rest of the chart remained unchanged.
Top 5 shows in U+R HSM
Colors’ ‘Naagin’ continued to rule the chart followed by Zee TV’s ‘Kundali Bhagya’ and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on the second and third spot, respectively. Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ moved up to the fourth rank while Sony Sab ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ was back in the top 5 table.
Top 10 Hindi GECs in urban HSM
SET climbed to the third spot whereas Zee TV slipped to the fifth rank even as the rest of the chart remained unchanged.

Sony Sab’s ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ moved up to the third rank whereas Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya entered the list at the fifth spot. Colors’ ‘Dance Deewane’ went out of the list. The rest of the chart remained unchanged.
Top 10 Hindi GECs in rural HSM
The rural chart witnessed only one change as Big Magic moved to the seventh spot while Zee TV dropped to the eighth rank.
Top 5 shows in rural HSM
Sony Pal’s ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ moved to the second position while Star Utsav’s ‘Rabba Ve’ dropped to the fourth spot. Zee TV’s ‘Kundali Bhagya’ replaced Dangal TV’s ‘Mahima Shanidev Ki’ on the fifth position.
