Star Gold installs 40 ft rocket to celebrate Mission Mangal’s TV premiere
MUMBAI: Hindi movie channel Star Gold has installed a 40 ft rocket in Mumbai’s Juhu Beach to celebrate Mission Mangal’s TV premiere. The film will premiere on Star Gold at 12 pm on 20th October.
“Our focus has always been towards celebrating Indian cinema and making the audience a part of the on-screen magic. Creating an opportunity for Mission Mangal’s fans to witness a 40- feet simulation rocket launch, a not so common sight, was a special moment for them. Efforts like these bring path-breaking movies like Mission Mangal alive for the audiences,” a Star Gold spokesperson said.
Hotstar VIP digitally premiered ‘Mission Mangal’ on 10th October before its TV premiere. The movie was a smashing hit at the box office having collected over Rs 200 crore worldwide.
Starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha and Taapsee Pannu in pivotal roles, the movie is based on the extraordinary true story of India’s finest scientists who rose above all the hardships and failures to make India the only country to reach Mars in its first attempt.
Mission Mangal is the story of Rakesh Dhawan (Akshay Kumar) and Tara Shinde (Vidya Balan) who lead a talented team of scientists including Ekta Gandhi (Sonakshi Sinha), Krittika Agarwal (Taapsee Pannu) amongst others.
