Sony Wah reclaims top spot in Week 52
MUMBAI: Sony Wah reclaimed the No. 1 spot in urban + rural Hindi-speaking market (HSM), beating elder sibling Sony Max, which dropped to No. 2.
Star Gold, meanwhile, moved to No. 4, pushing Rishtey Cineplex to the bottom of the ladder.
Zee Cinema retained the third spot, according to BARC data for the week ended 30 December.
Top 5 movies in Urban+Rural
The list of the top 5 programmes was dominated by Sony Wah, Zee Cinema and Sony Max.
‘Time Story’ on Zee Cinema was the top-rated movie, followed by ‘Sultan’ on Max.
Top Hindi movie channels in Urban HSM
In urban HSM, there was no change in pecking order for the top 4 positions. &Pictures pushed Sony Wah down to grab the No. 5 position for itself.
Sony Max, Zee Cinema, Star Gold and Movies OK occupied the top four spots.
Top 5 movies in Urban HSM
Sony Max and Zee Cinema dominated the top 5 programmes’ list.
‘Sultan’ was the top-rated movie, followed by ‘Time Story’.
Top Hindi movie channels in Rural HSM
In rural HSM, Zee Anmol Cinema moved to the second position, while Rishtey Cineplex slipped to the third.
Zee Cinema pushed Star Utsav Movies out of the top 5 to grab the fourth position.
Sony Wah was the most-watched Hindi movie channel in rural HSM for the week ended 30 December.
