Sony Sab pips Star Plus to occupy no. 2 position in urban HSM
MUMBAI: Sony Sab has dislodged Star Plus to claim the second position in urban HSM, as per BARC India data for week 42. Star Plus has slipped to the third position.
Sony Entertainment Television (SET) has held on to the number 1 position for the fifth week in a row. The rest of the table has remained unchanged.
Top 5 shows in urban HSM
Sony Sab’s ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ has become the most-watched show with 7.9 million impressions. Zee TV’s ‘Kundali Bhagya’ has slipped to the second position. Star Plus’ ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ has re-entered the table in the third position. SET’s ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ and ‘Indian Idol’ have also entered the list.
Top 10 Hindi GECs urban + rural HSM
SET and Sony Sab have moved up to occupy the third and fourth positions respectively. Zee TV has dropped to the fifth position. Star Utsav and Sony Pal have swapped positions.
Top 5 shows in U+R HSM
Dangal’s ‘Bandini’ is the most-watched show followed by Zee TV’s ‘Kundali Bhagya’ and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’. Dangal’s ‘Dwarkadheesh Bhagwaan Sri Krishna’ and ‘Rehna Hai Teri Palko Ki Chhaon Mein’ are at the fourth and fifth positions respectively.
Top 10 Hindi GECs in rural HSM
The top nine positions remained unchanged while Star Utsav replaced Sony Pal at the tenth position.

No new show entered the table.
Across genres top 10 channels
Star Plus, SET, and Sony Sab have moved up the ladder while Zee TV has fallen to the seventh position. Zee Kannada and Zee Telugu have entered the table replacing Star Vijay and Nick.
The total TV impressions dipped to 14.2 billion in week 42 while the TV+OOH impressions declined to 14.3 billion.
