Sony Pix takes FIFA WC initiative on-ground

MUMBAI: To cash in on the on-going FIFA World Cup 2018 fever, Sony Pictures Networks India’s (SPNI) English movie channel Sony Pix has taken its on-air property ‘Sony Pix Football Fever’ on-ground.

The property, which has a line-up of Hollywood Blockbusters scheduled right after the matches, has collaborated with fitness centre Gold’s Gym and one-stop destination for events, Kasa Kai Mumbai, to engage with the audience and to tap into the football mania.

With Gold’s Gym, the channel has curated a fitness routine inspired by the biggest Hollywood stars and Footballers called ‘Sony PIX Football Fever Session’. Spread across 16 locations in five cities – Delhi, Mumbai, Gurgaon, Pune and Bangalore – this session will have a football as part of the workout drill so that the Members get to train like the stars they idolise and be as fit as them.

The channel will be present at the special screenings organised for the final match at pubs such as True Tram Trunk in Mumbai and Flip @ MTV Café in Mumbai and Delhi. Here too, participants get to win merchandise from Sony PIX and an F&B voucher from the pub if they win at a Hollywood and Football quiz.

The final kick is saved for the grand finale between France and Croatia on 15 July 2018 with what the broadcaster claims is the biggest football live screening the city has ever seen. Over 5000 people are expected to gather to watch the final match at Jio Garden, Mumbai and Sony PIX fans get to win exclusive invites for this event on their social media page.
