Sony Pal pips Star Bharat to become the top Hindi GEC in week 9

MUMBAI: Sony Pal has emerged as the numero uno channel in the HSM urban + rural market, as per BARC data for week 9. Sony Pal registered a growth of 10.8% with 75.34 crore weekly impressions.

Star Bharat and Zee Anmol slipped to second and third position respectively. Star Utsav climbed up to the fourth spot while Zee TV and Colors fell to the fifth and sixth positions respectively.

The rest of the chart remained unchanged.

Top 5 shows in U+R HSM

Sony Pal’s ‘CID’ Sony Entertainment Television’s (SET) ‘Super Dancer 2’ entered the top 5 table. Star Bharat’s ‘Nimki Mukhiya’ and ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ were out of the list.

Top 10 channels in rural HSM

Star Plus and Big Magic exchanged positions. Apart from that, there was no other change in the table.

Sony Pal led the chart with three shows ‘Baalveer’, ‘CID’ and ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ while Zee Anmol’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ and ‘Ganga’ completed the table.

There was no change in the pecking order.

SET’s ‘Super Dancer 2’ entered the chart in the third place while Colors’ ‘Shakti Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’ went out of the list. Star Plus’ ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ and Zee TV’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ slipped to the third and fifth positions respectively. Zee TV’s ‘Kundali Bhagya’ and SET’s ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ maintained the same spot.
