Siti Networks appoints Anil Malhotra as CEO

MUMBAI: Multi system operator (MSO) Siti Networks has appointed Anil Malhotra as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with effect from 1st September 2019. Rajesh Sethi, who was the chief business transformation officer, is moving on from the company.

In this role, Malhotra will spearhead the business post the successful implementation of the New Tariff Order, in line with the company’s vision of making its offerings more robust through smarter business models and new innovative ways to connect with customers through varied products and services.

Malhotra is a veteran with over 34 years of rich experience across the Cable Television industry with deep expertise across various facets of Media Distribution viz. Technology, Content, Regulatory Compliances and Sales Operations. He has a proven track record of amalgamating progressive leadership & entrepreneurial spirit throughout his career.

He played a critical role in the successful implementation of the New Tariff Order framework at Siti Networks and was instrumental in the transformation of Siti from an analogue player to a digital MSO.

Anil joined Siti Networks as Chief Operating Officer in 2011 and since then he has helmed various leadership roles across Essel Group. Prior to Siti Networks, Anil had various successful entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial stints, including serving as President (North India) for InCablenet, a distribution vertical of Hinduja Group.

He realised the potential of Cable TV & Distribution long before the emergence of MSOs and ventured into hardware manufacturing for the industry and later set up multiple Master Control Rooms & Head-ends.

Anil has been an active member of various Government & Industry bodies including MIB task forces for the implementation of DAS regulations, New Tariff Order etc. and All India Digital Cable Federation. He has been conferred with several acclaims for his contribution to the industry. Anil holds a Masters Degree in Physics from Dehradun.
