SET’s ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ S2 garners 10.5 mn impressions in launch week

MUMBAI: Hindi GEC Sony Entertainment Television’s (SET) ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ season 2 has entered the top 5 table in the first week of its launch.

As per BARC data for week 1, the show garnered 10.5 million impressions in urban + rural HSM while in the urban HSM the same was 8.1 million impressions. The strong showing by the show helped SET to increase weekly impressions in both the markets.

In U+R HSM, Star Plus has jumped to the second position on the back of the ‘Star Screen Awards 2019’. Zee TV and Star Bharat dropped by a rank each. Star Utsav and Colors swapped positions. There was an exchange of positions between Rishtey and Dangal TV.

Top 5 shows in U+R HSM

Star Screen Awards 2019, SET’s ‘Super Dancer’ Chapter 3, and The Kapil Sharma Show were the new entrants to the table.

Top 10 Hindi GECs in urban HSM

Colors and Zee TV exchanged positions while the rest of the table remained unchanged.

Top 5 shows in urban HSM

‘Star Screen Awards 2019’ replaced ‘Indian Idol’ as the top show. SET’s ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ and ‘Super Dancer’ chapter 3 entered the table as did Colors’ ‘Bigg Boss’. Sony Sab’s ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ was out of the table.

Top 10 Hindi GECs in rural HSM

Star Utsav replaced Sony Pal at the second spot while the later dropped to the third spot. The rest of the table remained unchanged.

Top 5 shows in rural HSM

Zee Anmol’s ‘Mahek’ and ‘Ek Main Aur Ek Tu’ exchanged positions.
