Salman Khan’s Race 3 earns more than 100 crore in 3 days
MUMBAI: Despite of negative series, Salman Khan has succeeded to spin his magic with Race 3 when it comes to box office. Following the festive weekend, Race 3 has scored a century at the box office collection.
While, Race 3 earned 29.17 crore on the opening day, the collection witnessed upward swing on weekend shas on Saturday it collected 38.14 crore and on Sunday it raked 39.16 crore.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “And #Race3 scores a CENTURY… Crosses 100cr… Fourth Salman starrer to collect Rs 100 cr mark in *3 days* [#BajrangiBhaijaan, #Sultan, #TigerZindaHai]… Fri 29.17 cr, Sat 38.14 cr, Sun 39.16 cr. Total: ₹ 106.47 cr. India biz.”
Race 3 also marks Khan fourth film to earn Rs 100 crore in three days. Previously, Khan’s movies like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, earned Rs 102.60 cr, Sultan collected Rs 105.53 cr [released on Wed; Wed-Fri] and Tiger Zinda Hai accounted Rs 114.93 cr [Fri-Sun] on box office in first three days.
However on the top five opening weekend list of 2018, Race 3 grabs second spot as Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s “Padmaavat” still tops the list with 114 crore. Baaghi 2 lands on third position with Rs 73.10 crore, followed by #Raid with Rs 41.01 crore and PadMan with Rs 40.05 crore.
Now, will Race 3 continue its upward swing in the current week is what left to see. Unlike Khan’s previous films, Race 3 has only one week window to attract patrons and raking in moollah as Rajkumar Hirani’s #Sanju, a film based on actor Sanjay Dutt, will release on 29 June 2018.
