PVR crosses 800 screens milestone with launch of Sri Ganganagar multiplex
MUMBAI: Multiplex chain PVR Cinemas has crossed the 800 screens milestone and claims that it is the first cinema exhibitor in the country to have managed to get there. The total screen tally now stands at 800 screens across 170 properties with the launch of its latest multiplex in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan today.
The new three-screen property housed in a posh township spreads across an area of 19600 sq. feet with a seating capacity of 581 audiences. Integrated with latest in-theatrical technological solutions and featuring contemporary art and décor, the multiplex is aimed at offering a unique movie-viewing experience to the patrons in the region.
PVR joint MD Sanjeev Kumar Bijli said, “It is a moment of great pride to reach the 800 screens milestone. The journey from 500 screen count to 800 has been exemplary where we have focussed on cities beyond metros.
