Nat Geo’s docu on INSV Tarini expedition set for release on 8 Mar

MUMBAI: This International Women’s Day, National Geographic, in association with the Indian Navy, is all set to bring the moving story of the expedition of INSV Tarini’s all-women crew.

The 254-day long journey of these six Indian women was a record-setting expedition – it was the first time ever that any Indian women had circumvented the globe.

The complete documentary will be released on National Geographic and Hotstar at 9 pm on 8th March, which is also the International Women’s Day.

As the first exclusive look of this documentary, Indian Navy social media handles shared the emotion-rousing clip before it premiered on the channel.

The trailer showcases some rare footage from the on-ship cameras that were present throughout the expedition, as well as giving viewers a peek into the challenges and emotions the crew faced in this journey.

Through this Women’s Day special film, National Geographic is showcasing the hardships the crew faced during the mission along with their undying spirit and determination, which went on to become a powerful source of inspiration for the entire nation.
