Mathrubhumi News launches on Hotstar

MUMBAI: Mathrubhumi Group’s Malayalam news channel Mathrubhumi News has launched on India’s leading premium streaming platform Hotstar. The strategic tie-up will offer the Malayalam news channel to expand its audience and advertiser base.

Mathrubhumi News is the second Malayalam news channel on the platform after Asianet News.

The addition of Mathrubhumi News will take the number of news channels on Hotstar to 13. Other channels include Republic TV, ABP News, ABP Majha, ABP Ananda, ABP Asmita, Asianet News, TV9 Telugu, TV9 Kannada, BTVI, Fox News, Fox Business, and Sky News. It also hosts digital offerings like TV Today Group’s digital channel News Tak and BloombergQuint.

The Mathrubhumi News channel will be available under the section of News – Malayalam in Hotstar, the audience will be able to get live feeds of the news channel through this arrangement.

The deal will enable Mathrubhumi News to present its wide variety of popular talk shows, news discussion show like Super Prime Time, and programs including Yatra, Dhim Tharikida Thom, Nalla Vaartha, and Chakkarapanthal to a premium spectrum of users.
