KBC 10, Indian Idol 10 catapult SET to top spot in urban HSM

MUMBAI: Hindi GEC Sony Entertainment Television (SET) has catapulted to number 1 spot in urban HSM on the back of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) season 10 and Indian Idol season 10.

Apart from the two non-fiction properties, the channel’s fiction shows ‘Mere Sai’ and ‘Vignaharta Ganesh’ also played a key part in pushing the channel to the top spot.

As per BARC India ratings for week 36, SET’s weekly impressions jumped almost 25% to 44.8 crore from 36 crore in week 35. The channel was in the third position in the previous week.

The rise of SET to number 1 spot has pushed Star Plus to number 2 position. Zee TV has moved to number 3 position while Colors has dropped to the fourth position. Sony Sab has slipped to the fifth position while the rest of the chart has remained unchanged.

Top 5 shows in Urban HSM

Zee TV’s ‘Kundali Bhagya’ and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ have moved up by a rank while Sony Sab’s ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ has dropped to the fifth spot.

Top 10 Hindi GECs in U+R HSM

Zee TV has replaced Star Plus at second position while the latter has fallen to the sixth position. Star Utsav and Star Bharat have swapped positions. SET has moved to the seventh position while Colors and Rishtey have dropped by a rank. Dangal TV has replaced Sony Sab at the tenth spot.

Top 5 shows in U+R HSM

Zee Anmol’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ entered the list at second position followed by Zee TV’s ‘Kundali Bhagya’ and Kumkum Bhagya’ at the fourth and fifth position respectively. Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ dropped to the fifth spot while Sony Sab’s ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ went out of the list.

Top 10 Hindi GECs in Rural HSM

The rural chart didn’t witness any change in its top order. Zee TV climbed to the seventh rank while Big Magic dropped to the eighth position. Colors and Star Plus swapped positions.

Top 5 shows in Rural HSM

Sony Pal’s Baalveer entered the list at fifth spot as Zee TV’s ‘Kundali Bhagya’ went out of the list. The rest of the chart remained unchanged.
