“Following the tremendous response to the telecast of the Carabao Cup Final, we’re excited to bring yet another set of iconic football matches to fans. Boasting a history of over 100 years, Copa Del Rey is one of the most reputed and sought-after titles in Spanish football, and it doesn’t get bigger than the ‘El Clásíco’ in the world of club football.”
En route to this epic semi-final stage, many Spanish clubs have fallen by the wayside, as Barcelona, Real Madrid and Valencia are joined by minnows Real Betis, whose journey has been nothing short of a marvel. With the first-leg of both semi-final matches ending in dramatic draws, the competition’s second-leg leaves the door wide open for any of the four teams to book a spot in the finals.
Winning the trophy a maximum of 30 times, Ernesto Valverde’s Barcelona fight to defend their title as Santiago Solari’s Real Madrid look to bounce back from recent setbacks; and Real Betis take on Valencia in a bid to reach the final of the coveted Copa Del Rey.
