Jio launches cricket season pack for IPL priced Rs 251 with 102 GB data
MUMBAI: In order to cash in on the Indian Premier League (IPL) fever, Reliance Jio has launched ‘Jio Cricket Season Pack’ which offers 102 GB data for Rs 251 and will be valid for 51 days throughout the IPL.
The pack will allow Jio users to watch IPL matches live. Jio has partnered official IPL media rights owner Star India to offer IPL live streaming for free to its customers.
The telco said that this is the first of its kind cricket pack launched by a network that is made for video and can enable millions of people to watch what they love, where they wish.
Apart from the data, the telco has also launched a live mobile game ‘Jio Cricket Play Along’ where participants can plan and win prizes worth crores and ‘Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan LIVE’ a first of its kind show, where Cricket meets Comedy.
The show premieres exclusively on MyJio app, available free to both Jio and non-Jio subscribers, on 7 April at 7:30 pm, with original LIVE episodes, releasing every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Hosted by comedian Sunil Grover and popular sports anchor, Samir Kochhar, every episode will feature cricketers and celebrity guests in fun conversations, gags and more. Sunil and Samir will be joined by a host of popular comedians and anchors including Shilpa Shinde, Ali Asgar, Sugandha Mishra, Suresh Menon, Paresh Ganatra, Shibani Dandekar and Archana Vijay along with cricket legends Kapil Dev and Virendra Sehwag. Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan LIVE promises MyJio app users an unseen off-the-field experience, a hearty dose of laughter, exclusive comments by Cricket experts and celebrity guests.
The game – Jio Cricket Play Along will be accessible to all smartphone users in India and can be played in 11 Indian languages. Spanning 7 weeks and 60 matches, Jio will redefine the second-screen experience through its real-time interaction during the match time. Jio aims to bring people together to celebrate the most loved sport in the country by turning spectators into participants, getting India closer to Cricket, their favourite teams and players by providing an engaging experience for cricket fans in India.
