ITW Consulting bags in-stadia advertising, sponsorship mandate for Nidahas Trophy 2018
MUMBAI: Indian sports management company ITW Consulting has secured the in-stadia advertising and sponsorship mandate from Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) for the Nidahas Trophy 2018.
ITW Consulting won the rights as they offered value for the inventory amongst other agencies. ITW Consulting is permitted to market the in-stadia advertising rights and can enter into a contract with potential clients and agencies towards exploiting the rights commercially.
The three-nation tournament involving Bangladesh, India, and Sri Lanka includes seven T20 matches. It will be played from March 6–18, 2018 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
DSport has acquired the India broadcast rights for the tournament. It has also joined hands with Viacom18 to live telecast the series on Hindi movie channel Rishtey Cineplex.
Commenting on the association, ITW Consulting director MS Muralidharan said, “With utmost pride in bagging these rights, ITW will strive to welcome the brands around the world to build connect with the cricket fans in an innovative and engaging way. We are extremely excited about the win and our endeavor is to take the platform to the next level by building some strategic brand associations.”
SLC COO Jerome Lee Jayaratne said, “SLC is delighted to form this partnership with (ITW) Consulting that specializes in executing Multi-Faceted Brand Management Solutions. ITW’s International experience in this sector and especially in Cricket is well known. It’s great to be associated with such an innovative & progressive team.”
ITW Consulting co-founder Bhairav Shanth commented, “The last time that it was played was way back in 1998 when Sri Lanka had hosted India and New Zealand for a tri-series which was played in the 50-over format. While the celebration of Sri Lanka’s independence should be respected, it is undoubtedly evident that the series will be an exciting platform for the brands to stand tall and cherish seamless branding experience with some of our latest in-stadia technologies.”
