IPL 2019 reach increased by 12% to 462 mn: Star Sports

MUMBAI: The total reach of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 has increased 12% to 462 million compared to the previous edition, Star Sports said quoting BARC India data. The reach in HSM was up 17% to 287 million while the reach in South increased 3% to 175 million.

Television viewership reached 27.3 million average impressions registering a growth of 15% setting a tournament viewership record. The total consumption increased from 300 billion minutes to 338 billion minutes making it the highest ever in IPL history.

Personalising the experience with dedicated new regional sports channels, curated content for all members of the family, an exciting campaign and a host of innovative programming initiatives fueled growth across consumer segments, especially amongst kids and women.
