IPL 11 viewership for first 43 matches up 13% at 1.02 bn impressions

MUMBAI: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 11 total viewership for first 43 matches has jumped 13% to 1.02 billion impressions compared to 905 million impressions in IPL 10, as BARC India All India, 2+ data.

Viewership for matches 35-43 has grown 10% to 194.9 million impressions compared to 176.7 million impressions.

The IPL 11 viewership for eight matches in week 4 had grown 35% to 196 million compared to 145 million in the previous edition.

The tournament had registered a 15% growth in the third week for matches 18-26. The nine matches in the second week of the IPL 11 have garnered 211.5 million impressions on Star India network and DD Sports compared to 199.6 million impressions in IPL 10 on Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) for an equal number of games.

The first eight matches of IPL 2018 on Star India network and DD Sports had garnered 213.9 million impressions on All India 2+ compared to 197.8 million impressions in IPL 10 when the event was telecast on Sony Pictures Networks India.

IPL 11 is being aired on Star Sports 1 (SD+HD), Star Sports 1 Hindi (SD+HD), Star Sports 1 Tamil, Star Sports Select 1 (SD+ HD), Star Suvarna Plus, Star Maa Movies, Star Jalsha, DD Sports while (IPL 10 aired on Sony Max, Sony Six (SD+HD), Sony ESPN (SD+HD).
