IPL 11 viewership for 59 matches up 14% at 1.38 bn impressions

MUMBAI: The total viewership for first 59 matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 11 has grown 14% to 1.38 billion impressions compared to 1.21 billion impressions in the previous edition of the tournament, as per BARC India All India 2+ data.

In IPL 11, matches 53-59 garnered 164.7 million Impressions which is a growth of 20% over the previous edition’s 137.2 million impressions.

The Sun Risers Hyderabad (SRH) vs Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) qualifier match garnered 32 million impressions to become the most watched match in week 21.

The first qualifier between SRH vs Chennai Super Kings (CSK) notched 29.7 million impressions. The eliminator between KKR vs Rajasthan Royals garnered 26.8 million impressions.

The IPL 11, which concluded on 27 May, was aired on Star Sports 1 (SD+HD), Star Sports 1 Hindi (SD+HD), Star Sports 1 Tamil, Star Sports Select 1 (SD+ HD), Star Suvarna Plus, Star Maa Movies, Star Jalsha, and DD Sports.

The previous aired on Sony Pictures Networks India’s Sony Max, Sony Six (SD+HD), Sony ESPN (SD+HD).
