Discovery Kids sees viewership growth following ‘Fukrey Boyzzz’ launch
MUMBAI: Discovery Kids has said that its new animation show ‘Fukrey Boyzzz’ has helped the channel leap forth to number 3 position in the genre in week 42 of BARC ratings.
Discovery Kids gained 24% to garner 80 Million Impressions, up from an average of 64 Million Impressions in the previous 4 weeks, as per the BARC India (Urban + Rural), 2-14 Wk 42 ’19 Vs Avg. Wk 38-41’19.
The channel claimed that the premiere of Fukrey Boyzzz on 12th October led to a huge upsurge in viewership of 60% in the afternoon slot and 84% in the evening slot, as per BARC India (Urban + Rural), 2-14, Wk 42 Sat – (Aft. 1:30 PM – 03:12 PM, Eve. 7:30 PM – 09:40 PM ) Vs Avg. Sat Wk 39 – 41’19.
It further stated that the overall channel time spent per viewer (TSV) during the week too galloped 19% from 82 minutes to 98 minutes.

Discovery Kids’ first local IP was ‘Little Singham’ – an animation series inspired by India’s most successful Supercop brand ‘Singham’. It upped the ante further with the launch of ‘Fukrey Boyzzz’ based on super hit Bollywood franchise ‘Fukrey’ and ‘Fukrey Returns’.
Discovery Kids is currently available in six languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and English.
