Dangal replaces Star Sports 1 Hindi as number 1 channel across genres in week 17

MUMBAI: Hindi GEC Dangal has reclaimed the leadership crown across genres from Star Sports 1 Hindi in week 17 of BARC India ratings. Dangal TV had become number 1 across genres in week 13 when BARC had started republishing the viewership data on its website after a brief hiatus due to the implementation of the TRAI’s new tariff order.

Zee Cinema has entered the list while Zee Telugu is out of the top 10 table. Star Plus and Star Maa have swapped positions. Colors has jumped to the eighth position while Zee Tamil has dropped to the ninth spot.

Top 10 Hindi GECs in urban HSM

Zee TV has jumped to the second position from the fourth spot while Sony Entertainment Television (SET) and Colors have dropped one level down. The rest of the table has remained unchanged.

Top 5 shows in urban HSM

SET’s ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ and ‘Super Dancer Chapter 3’ went out of the list while Zee TV’s ‘Kundali Bhagya’ and Colors’ ‘Naagin 3’ re-entered the table.

Top 10 Hindi GECs in rural HSM

The pecking order remained unchanged with Dangal at the top position.

Top 5 shows in rural HSM

Dangal’s ‘Baba Aiso Var Dhundo’ replaced ‘Raavi Aur Magic Mobile’ in the list while the other four shows retained their place.

Top 5 shows in U+R HSM

There was no change in the pecking order.

Top 10 Hindi GECs in U+R HSM

Zee TV’s ‘Tujh Se Hai Raabta’ has replaced Colors’ ‘Naagin 3’ in the list. Dangal and Zee TV dominated the table.

In urban and rural HSM, the top 4 remained unchanged while ABP News replaced Zee News at the fifth spot.

In rural HSM, ABP News and India TV have swapped positions while News18 India has replaced Zee News at the fifth position.

There was no change in the pecking order in urban HSM.

In Hindi business news genre, both CNBC Awaaz and Zee Business saw an increase in weekly impressions.

English news

Republic TV has bounced back to the number 1 position while DD India has slipped to the second spot. The other three channels have retained their respective positions.

CNBC-TV18 has seen an increase in its weekly impressions. In the case of the other three channels, their weekly impressions have remained flat.
