Don’t foresee any significant immediate adverse impact of COVID-19 outbreak on TV broadcasters: ICRA

The coronavirus outbreak is a credit negative for the Indian Media and Entertainment (M&E) industry, credit rating agency ICRA has said in its analysis. While the impact is high for the film production and exhibition segments, it is medium for television broadcasters, film distribution and print media, and low for the distribution platform operators (DPOs).

Sony pledges Rs. 10 cr to film, TV industry daily wage earners

In response to the nationwide lockdown undertaken as a measure to contain the widespread impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) has decided to contribute a fund of Rs. 10 crore to support the daily wage workers in the media and entertainment industry.
