B4U Kadak becomes no. 1 Hindi movie channel in rural HSM in less than one month of launch

MUMBAI: B4U Television Network’s newly launched Hindi movie channel B4U Kadak has become number 1 channel in rural HSM in less than a month of its launch, as per BARC India ratings for week 25.

As reported by TelevisionPost.com, B4U Kadak will air 101 world television premieres movies throughout the year. Most of these premieres are original blockbusters and award-winning films.

Targeted at urban and rural audiences in the HSM market, the channel has a bank of popular Bollywood and South Indian movies dubbed in Hindi.

In addition to the 101 world television premieres most of the hand-picked movies are originals of Superhit Hindi remake Sooryavansham (Telugu – Sooryavansham), Nayak (Tamil-Mudhalvan), Chachi 420 (Tamil – Avvai Shanmugi), Drishyam (Malayalam-Drishyam), Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein (Tamil – Minnale), Raja Babu (Telugu – Raja Babu).

In rural HSM, Sony Max, Star Gold, and Zee Cinema have dropped by a rank each to third, fourth and fifth position respectively while B4U Movies has jumped to the second position.

B4U Kadak dominated the top 5 programme list in rural HSM with all five movies belonging to the channel.

The channel also made an entry into the urban + rural HSM table at the third position. Movies OK moved out of the table while Zee Cinema slipped to the fourth position. The top two channels remained unchanged.

Zee Cinema and Sony Max had two movies each in the top 5 table while Star Gold had a solitary position with ‘Incredibles 2’.

In urban HSM, the top 5 channels remained unchanged.

The top 5 programmes table was dominated by Zee Cinema and Sony Max followed by Star Gold.
