Asia Cup 2018: First eight matches garner 74.3 mn impressions

MUMBAI: The first eight matches of the Asia Cup 2018 on Star Sports network have garnered 74.3 million impressions, according to data provided by BARC India date All India, 2+.

The average impression per match is 9.28 million while the average impression for three India matches in 58.4 million.

The first encounter between India and Pakistan on 19 September was the most viewed match with 29.4 million impressions followed by India vs Bangladesh game at 17.8 million impressions.

The India vs Hong Kong was the third most-watched match of the tournament at 11.2 million impressions.

Among the non-India matches, the Afghanistan vs Bangladesh match was the most viewed with 4.5 million impressions followed by Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka with 3.4 million impressions.

Star Sports 1 Hindi, DD Sports, and Star Sports 1 were the top 3 channels with 50 crore, 23.6 crore, and 21 crore impressions respectively.

Star Sports has roped in 10 sponsors including Coca-Cola, BYJU’s, Dominos, Hero Motors, Google, Britannia, Nerolac, Droom and Dream 11 for the tournament.

The grand finale of the tournament will be held on Friday between India and Bangladesh.
