Ashit Kukian to replace Abraham Thomas as Radio City CEO

MUMBAI: Music Broadcast Ltd, the owner of Radio City, has appointed Ashit Kukian as the chief executive officer (CEO) of the company. He will replace Abraham Thomas who has resigned as CEO effective 30 September.

Thomas has quit since he intends to pursue other business interests.

Kukian, who was earlier COO of the Company till 2015, will closely work under the supervision of Apurva Purohit, Director and mentor of the company to manage the operations as hitherto.

The Nomination and Remuneration Committee of the company has recommended the above to the board for its consideration and approval.

Kukian is an experienced leader with a proven track record of running large media businesses, with demonstrated ability to work with high-performance teams to build and scale businesses within a competitive environment.

He has deep knowledge across various media platforms such as print, broadcasting (TV and Radio), with over 30 years of hands-on experience across organisations such as Times Network, Radio City, ITV Network, Laboratories Garnier Paris, Berger Paints and Johnson & Johnson.
