Amazon Prime Video to add fresh titles to its content line-up

MUMBAI: Amazon Prime Video has added two Indian movie titles ‘Karwaan’ and ‘Fanney Khan’ in the content line-up for October 2018.

Fanney Khan is a 2018 Indian musical comedy film written and directed by debutant Atul Manjrekar. It is a remake of Belgian film Everybody’s Famous. The film narrates the story of a middle-aged father of a young, aspiring, and an overweight teenage girl whom he pushes to be a singer.

He kidnaps a famous soloist to make way for his daughter to become a star. It was jointly produced by the banners T-Series Films, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Pictures, and Anil Kapoor Films & Communication Network. The film stars Anil Kapoor (Fanney Khan), Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (Superstar Baby Singh), Pihu Sand (Lata Sharma) and Rajkummar Rao (Adhir).

Karwan is another 2018 Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama road movie written and directed by debutant Akarsh Khurana, produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Priti Rathi Gupta. The film stars Dulquer Salman, Irrfan Khan, and Mithila Palkar. The film marks the Bollywood debut of Dulquer Salman. It is a story of two friends and a chirpy teenager take a road trip from Bangalore to Kochi.

Apart from Indian titles, Amazon Prime Video will also bring back the 14th season of Supernatural, longest-running American live-action fantasy TV series. Followed by, Blindspot S4, This Is Us S2 and The Exorcist S2. The platform will also release US originals series such as Extremo Enemigo S1 (Mexico), The Man In The High Castle S3, The Romanoffs S1 and Lore S2.
