Amazon Prime Video adds Punjabi movies to its content library

MUMBAI: Amazon Prime Video has expanded regional content offering by adding Punjabi movies to its library. The video on demand (VoD) platform currently offers content in English, Hindi, Marathi, Kannada, Bengali, Tamil and Telugu.

The platform will offer the digital premiere of Punjabi blockbuster Banjaara: The Truck Driver soon after its theatrical release. Amazon Prime Video will have 4 Punjabi movies – Banjaara: The Truck Driver, Carry On Jatta 2, Vadhayiyaan Ji Vadhayiyaan and Bailaras.

In regional titles, Prime members can also stream the recent Kannada blockbuster Orange and the coming-of-age story of friendship in the Bengali release Generation Ami immediately after their theatrical releases.

After digitally premiering ‘Thugs of Hindostan’, the platform has also added Varun-Dhawan-Anushka Sharma starrer Sui Dhaaga: Made in India to its catalogue. Other content offerings include Uncle Drew – an American sports comedy film and Game Night, crime drama Luther besides Rocky & Bullwinkle.
