Airtel Digital TV Q3 EBITDA up 5.43%; adds 416,000 net customers
MUMBAI: Bharti Telemedia, the direct to home (DTH) arm of Bharti Airtel’s EBITDA for the quarter ended 31 December has jumped 5.43% to Rs 370.8 crore compared to Rs 351.7 crore in the trailing quarter. The DTH operator provides service under Airtel Digital TV brand.
EBITDA margin during the quarter saw an improvement at 38.5% compared to 37.5% a quarter ago.
EBIT was up 22% at Rs 150 crore compared to Rs 123 crore in the trailing quarter.
Total revenue rose 3% to Rs 964.2 crore from Rs 936.9 crore.
The company incurred a capex of Rs 236 crore during the compared to Rs 319.1 crore.
The operating free cash flow during the quarter was at Rs 134.8 crore as compared to Rs 32.6 crore a quarter ago.
The DTH operator saw a net addition of 416,000 customers compared to 207,000 customers in the trailing quarter.
Total customers stood at 13.9 million, as on 31 December, compared to 13.5 million customers a quarter ago.
ARPU for the quarter remained flat at Rs 233. Monthly churn saw an improvement at 1.2% compared to 1.4%.
Airtel Digital TV offers a total of 639 channels including 73 HD channels, five international channels, and four interactive services.
