ABC shelves Priyanka Chopra’s ‘Quantico’

MUMBAI: American broadcast network ABC has decided to pull the plug from Priyanka Chopra’s FBI drama ‘Quantico’. The network has announced that the show will not be renewed for the fourth season. The third season of the FBI drama went on air recently, however, it has failed to get desired ratings.

Some media reports suggested that the show was cancelled due to logistics and not low viewership. The show is produced in Toronto while the writer’s room is in Los Angeles, and creator David Guggenheim is based in New York.

Quantico, which is produced by ABC Studios and the Mark Gordon Company, first aired in 2014. The series looks at the lives of young FBI recruits training at the Quantico base in Virginia when one of them is suspected of being a sleeper terrorist.

According to Variety, the third season of the series with new showrunner Michael Seitzman will continue to run through mid-July. The first three episode of the season averaged 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demo and 2.3 million total viewers, according to Nielsen live-plus-same-day numbers.
