Zindagi’s first original fiction ‘Bhaage Re Mann’ to premiere on 30 Nov

MUMBAI: Zindagi is all set to launch its first original fiction show. Titled ‘Bhaage Re Mann’, the show will premiere on 30 November at 8:30 pm.

Breaking all stereotypes, the show features an independent Indian woman who has the courage to make her own choices and the determination to stand by them.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) chief business officer Sunil Buch said, “Zindagi was launched with a promise to bring the best content to our television screens from across continents. After winning the hearts of Indian audiences with stories from Pakistan and Turkey, the channel also introduced its first original non-fiction content show ‘Shukriya’. Reinforcing its commitment to its viewers in its second year of programming, Zindagi embarks on a new journey with refreshing content for the modern Indian viewer. With the launch of ‘Bhaage Re Mann’, the channel introduces storylines produced in India that will surely break the shackles of age-old stereotypical content that we see on Indian TV.”

Produced by Positive Thinkerz, the show will air every Monday to Saturday. ‘Bhaage Re Mann’ is a contemporary slice-of-life narrative of a 39-year-old woman named Padmini whose perspective on life is different from that of the people around her. With a free-spirited attitude, she sets out to challenge bygone ideologies in her own distinctive style.

Zindagi and FTA Hindi GEC cluster head Priyanka Datta said, “Zindagi has always shown content that is differentiated, helping us carve a special place for ourselves in a short span. Today, Zindagi stands as a platform that has introduced world class talent be it from Pakistan or Turkey. With the launch of our original fiction content, we turn the spotlight on the immense talent pool that we have present in our own country. We are pleased to announce the first of our original fiction series ‘Bhaage Re Mann’ that is a reinforcement of our style of storytelling, one that is distinctive with a strong narrative.”

Television actress Karuna Pandey will portray the role of Padmini. Supporting her are Nupur Alankar, Dr Ved Thapar, Chandan Anand, Priya Marathe and Ankit Narang, among others.

‘Bhaage Re Mann’ producer and writer Mitu added, “Indian television is going through a revival of content lately, and Zindagi, known for its path-breaking content, brings an interesting series about a contemporary evolved Indian woman who is unapologetic of the choices she makes. Keeping in mind the sensibilities of the channel, ‘Bhaage Re Mann’ is sure to resonate with the viewers and bring a smile that will help them look at life’s simple issues in a positive way.”

As reported earlier by TelevisionPost.com, the channel will launch another original fiction series titled ‘Aadhe Adoore’ in the month of December.
