ZEEL bags seven golds at PromaxBDA 2015

MUMBAI: Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) won seven gold trophies at the PromaxBDA Awards India 2015. Viacom18 led the tally of awards with a total of 14 awards.

ZEEL’s seven gold awards came on the back of its promo for ‘Saregam Pa Lill Champs’ (Zee TV), its special event promo for Independence Day (Zing), best editing (Zee Café), best promo in a regional language for the song ‘Jai Malhar’ (Zee Marathi), best animation for ‘Beat Box’ (Zing), and best original logo design for ‘Beat Box’ (Zing).

ZEEL also won four silver awards, taking its total tally to 11.

Multi Screen Media (MSM) and Viacom18 witnessed a tie with both bagging six gold trophies. However, MSM bagged 13 awards, compared to Viacom18’s 14 trophies.

MSM bagged gold for its promos for ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, best launch of the game show, best drama campaign for its fiction show ‘Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar’, and best drama promo for its crime-based show ‘Encounter: Dhobi Ghat’.

Viacom18 picked up four golds for MTV shows like ‘Indipedia’, ‘Durex Rex Talk’, and for best on-air ident ‘Adrenaline Rush’. It also bagged one for Comedy Central and one for MTV Indies.

Star India bagged five gold and five silver trophies, taking its total tally to 10 awards. It bagged gold for the promo of Indian Super League, best original music composition for the ‘die hard’ song, innovative use of Star Movies secret screening on digital, best programme title sequence for Channel V’s ‘Dare 2 Date’, and best integrated marketing campaign for Channel V’s ‘Gumrah 4’.

Among other award winners, Disney India picked up eight awards including two golds, NGC Network India picked up eight awards including five golds, Times Television Network bagged four golds, Zee Media picked up three awards including two golds, and Turner International India won two silver awards. Pioneer Channel Factory picked up one silver award.
