Zee TV grabs top spot in urban HSM for Wk 38
MUMBAI: Fiction shows ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ and ‘Kundali Bhagya’ helped Hindi GEC Zee TV to grab the top spot in urban Hindi-speaking market (HSM).
Zee TV garnered 40.20 crore impressions, according to BARC India data for Week 38. This is a growth of 4.75% from the previous week.
Star Plus, which had led the chart in Week 37, dropped to the second position with 38.723 crore weekly impressions, witnessing a drop of 5.34%. In Week 38, the difference in impressions between Zee TV and Star Plus was 3.69%.
Colors moved up a rank to the third place with 38.23 crore weekly impressions as Sony Entertainment Television (SET) dropped to the fourth place with 37.73 crore weekly impressions. Colors witnessed a growth of 2.01% whereas SET’s impressions fell by 4.71%.
Sony Sab and Star Bharat maintained their fifth and sixth position with 26.45 crore and 26.12 crore weekly impressions, respectively.
&TV with 15.53 crore weekly impressions dropped to the ninth position, while Sony Pal and Zee Anmol moved up to the seventh and eighth spot, respectively.
Sony Pal registered 15.92 crore weekly impressions and Zee Anmol got 15.81 crore weekly impressions.
DD National entered the list at No. 10 with 11.22 crore weekly impressions as Rishtey went out of the list.
Top 5 programmes in Urban HSM
SET’s ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ continued to rule the top 5 in urban HSM.
Zee TV’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ and ‘Kundali Bhagya’ followed at the second and third spot.
Sony Sab’s ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma’ moved up to the fourth position while Colors’ ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ slipped to the fifth.
Top Hindi GECs in U+R HSM
Zee Anmol maintained its lead in urban + rural and rural HSM for the week ended 22 September. The channel saw a growth of 4.15% with 70.01 crore weekly impressions.
Zee TV and Star Bharat followed at the second and third position with 67.13 crore and 58.29 crore weekly impressions, respectively. Zee TV saw a growth of 5.72% while Star Bharat’s impressions fell by 4.09%.
Colors climbed to the fourth position with 56.33 crore weekly impressions, a growth of 3.42%.
With a drop of 6.05%, Star Plus slipped to the fifth position, acquiring 55.17 crore weekly impressions.
DD National entered the chart at the 10th spot with 31.06 crore weekly impressions as Star Utsav went out of the list. The rest of the chart remained unchanged.
Top 5 shows in U+R HSM
Zee TV’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ and ‘Kundali Bhagya’ continued to rule the first and second spot on the chart.
Sony TV’s ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ followed at the third place, whereas Zee Anmol’s ‘Jamai Raja’ entered the chart at No. 4. Colors’ ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ stayed at the fifth spot.
Top Hindi GECs in Rural HSM
Zee Anmol continued to rule the rural Hindi HSM chart for Week 38. The channel got 54.20 crore weekly impressions, a growth of 4.01% compared to the previous week.
Zee Anmol was followed by Sony Pal at the second position and Star Bharat at the third. Sony Pal acquired 36.51 crore weekly impressions whereas Star Bharat got 32.16 crore weekly impressions. The channels witnessed a drop of 1.13% and 2.55%, respectively.
Rishtey and Zee TV stayed at the fourth and fifth spot with 29.76 core and 26.92 crore weekly impressions, respectively. With 20.44 crore weekly impressions, Star Utsav followed at No. 6.
DD National entered the list at the seventh spot with 19.84 crore weekly impressions, as result of which Star Plus fell to the ninth spot with 16.44 crore weekly impressions and Big Magic slipped to 10th spot with 14.92 crore weekly impressions. Colors maintained its eighth rank with 18.09 crore weekly impressions.
Top 5 shows in Rural HSM
Zee Anmol maintained its lead with ‘Jamai Raja’, followed by Sony Pal’s ‘Balveer’ at the second spot.
The two ODI matches between India and Australia, aired on DD National, entered the chart at the No. 3 whereas the first ODI between India and Australia entered the chart at the fourth spot.
Zee TV’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ slipped to the fifth rank while ‘Kundali Bhagya’ went out of the list.
