Zee TV climbs to No. 3 among Hindi GECs
MUMBAI: Zee TV has climbed to the third spot in the week ended 12 May, dislodging Colors in the process.
Zee TV garnered 49.15 crore weekly impressions, up 0.56% from the earlier week.
Colors fell two places to No. 5 as its weekly impressions dropped 9% to 48.24 crore in Week 19, BARC data showed.
Star Plus continued to hold sway over the urban + rural Hindi-speaking market (HSM) with 62.41 crore weekly impressions.
Star Plus’ viewership fell 1.28%, while Sony Pal, which saw a 2.29% drop, stayed at the second position with 57.78 crore weekly impressions.
Free-to-air (FTA) channel Zee Anmol amassed 48.32 crore weekly impressions to occupy the fourth place. Rishtey fell to the sixth spot with 46.57 crore weekly impressions.
Top 5 shows in U+R HSM
Zee TV’s ‘KumKum Bhagya’ led the chart for the third straight week with 11.22 million weekly impressions.
Colors’ supernatural thriller series ‘Naagin 2’ stayed at the second position, whereas the Star Plus show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ grabbed the third spot.
Zee TV’s ‘Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs’ stayed at the fourth rank and Zee Anmol’s ‘Jamai Raja’ entered the chart at No. 5.
Star Plus’ ‘Yeh Hai Mohabattein’ went out of the list, BARC data showed.
Top Hindi GECs in Urban HSM
Star Plus ruled the charts in urban HSM with 42.21 crore weekly impressions, followed by Colors with 32.33 crore weekly impressions.
The chart remained relatively unchanged from the previous week, except for &TV moving up to the eighth rank and Rishtey dropping to the ninth position.
Top 5 shows in Urban HSM
Colors’ ‘Naagin’ maintained its lead on the chart. Zee TV’s ‘KumKum Bhagya’ stayed at the second rank. The chart otherwise remained unchanged.
Top Hindi GECs in Rural HSM
Sony Pal topped the charts with 43.18 crore weekly impressions, followed by Zee Anmol with 38.49 crore impressions.
Rishtey dropped to the third rank with 34.82 crore weekly impressions. Colors dropped to the eighth position and Sony Sab moved up to the seventh rank. The rest of the chart remained the same.
Top 5 shows in Rural HSM
Zee Anmol’s ‘Jamai Raja’ ruled the chart while Sony Pal’s ‘Balveer’ slipped to the second position and Sony Sab’s ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltha Chashmah’ dropped to the fourth rank.
Zee Anmol’s ‘Tashan-E-Ishq’ moved up to the third spot while Zee TV’s ‘KumKum Bhagya’ stayed put at No. 5.
