Zee Cinema Middle East launches cinema-based chat show

MUMBAI: Targeting cinema lovers, Zee Cinema Middle East is launching a brand new show called ‘The Retake’.

‘The Retake’ will be telecast every Saturday, at 9 pm (UAE time), on Zee Cinema Middle East.

Using cinema as the backdrop, ‘The Retake’ will keep the audiences enchanted by featuring a new take on movie reviews, exciting trivia about films and exhilarating interactions with achievers from the world of cinema and art every week.
The show marks the television debut venture of Rohan Shailaja Vanmala Productions (RSVP), a newly launched UAE-based production house.

To be produced and anchored by Rohan Vanmala, the chat show will see Rohan quizzing a panel of guests from as varied background as popular radio jockeys to cinema-loving bankers.

The first season of ‘The Retake’ will comprise 13 exciting episodes featuring views and reviews on brand-new films from India and abroad. The show’s official sponsors include Nokia, Lifestyle Fine Jewelry, Godiva Chocolates, Grand Cinemas, Al Ghurair Rayhaan by Rotana, FCBS Global, Pink Pepper Photography and 89.1 Radio 4 FM.

Extremely optimistic about his maiden project, Vanmala expects to review films ranging from stereotypical love stories to action and drama to pure fiction.

“We are very excited about our maiden primetime venture which has been launched on one of the Middle East’s leading movie channels Zee Cinema. Our show is packed with the perfect blend of Indian and international cinema, and promises to be a perfect weekend treat for the audiences,” he says.

Zee Cinema Middle East programming and marketing head Arnab Mukherjee says, “Zee Cinema stands for ‘movies, masti and magic’, and is known for providing great entertainment through its programming. We are delighted to partner with Rohan and RSVP for their new show ‘The Retake’, which will provide a perspective on the ever-growing popularity of Bollywood in this region through the eyes of the audience. We look forward to the show being an extension of the masti and magic of Bollywood and hope that movie lovers will enjoy it.”
