Vikas Gupta to replace Doris Dey as &TV fiction head

MUMBAI: Former MTV India programming head Vikas Gupta is set to join &TV, Zee Entertainment Enterprises’ new Hindi GEC,  as head of fiction programming.

Vikas GuptaGupta will join the organisation next month, a source said.

He will replace Doris Dey, who left the company on Thursday. Dey had joined ZEEL in May 2013 as part of the programming team.

Later, when ZEEL firmed up plans to launch &TV, Dey was named head of fiction for the channel.

In his new role, Gupta will report to &TV business head Rajesh Iyer. He had quit MTV India in less than a year after joining the youth channel in January 2014. He has also worked in Balaji Telefilms.

Gupta has his own production banner, A Lost Boy Productions. Prior to MTV, he had produced shows like ‘Gumrah: End of Innocence’ for Channel [V] and ‘Yeh Hai Aashiqui’ for Bindass.
