Turner targets 1 m kids through CN and Pogo school contact programmes

MUMBAI: Turner India has set a target to reach 1 million students (Standards I to VIII) in approximately 1,000 schools through its annual Cartoon Network and Pogo School Contact Programmes (SCPs) across the country. The SCP kicked off on 3 August.

The SCPs will run until mid-September and will be conducted across 12 cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Lucknow, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Ahmedabad and Amritsar.

With innovative and engaging themes, the SCPs will not only entertain students with games, trivia, and prizes, but also impart valuable lessons.

The Cartoon Network SCP called ‘Adventure Camp’ is themed around the channel’s latest international hit series ‘Adventure Time’ featuring characters Finn and Jake. The SCP aims to bring adventure and an outdoorsy spirit of camping into schools through physical activities, mental games, sports, team-building exercises, and other activities.

Pogo, through its SCP called ‘Bheem Ka Fitness Formula’, is on a nationwide spree to make children fit and healthy like their favourite superhero Chhota Bheem. Along with other popular Pogo characters such as Mighty Raju, Tom and Jerry, Mr Bean, etc., kids will learn about the importance of physical and mental exercises to stay sharp and fit.

Children in other parts of the country can also be a part of the action. On Cartoon Network, they can win exclusive ‘Adventure Time’ merchandise by participating in the ‘Adventure Camp’ contest from Monday to Friday at 4:00 pm. Pogo is giving out tips to be healthy and fit like Bheem. All kids have to do is tune in to the new episodes of ‘Chhota Bheem’ every Sunday 9:30 am.
